GUJARAT PAVILION WINS GOLD AWARD AT IITF 2010

30th edition of India International Trade Fair is concluding today at Pragati Maidan,New Delhi. The theme for this Fair which was held during November 14-27, 2010 was CLEAN AND EFFICIENT TECHNOLGY, PRODUCTS & SERVICES. Gujarat Pavilion won Gold Award for the excellence in display of the theme prescribed by India Trade Promotion Organization.

The Gold Award was presented today by Smt. Sheila Dixit, Chief Minister, Government of NCT Delhi in an impressive function held in Delhi. On behalf of Government of Gujarat, this award was received by Shri HC Desai, Advisor(Inv. Promotion), iNDEXTb.

In Gujarat Pavilion, the progress made by Gujarat in the recent years in the area of Clean and Green Energy was exhibited with the help of 3-D live models of solar wind mills, extraction of ethanol from maize, biogas plant, eco Chula, LNG Storage & Distribution network, BRTS bus and station, etc. In addition, all the subjects were treated with related back-lit panels.

The project details of Sabarmati Riverfront Development and the initiatives of the Government for water harvesting and recharging were impressively projected through back-lit panels. The display in the Pavilion proved to be star attraction for the visitors to the fair, numbering about 20 lakhs during the course of last two weeks.
Earlier, Gujarat Pavilion received Gold Award in 2005 and 2008 also.
