Liberhan report leak

On Babri Masjid demolition case inquiry report of Justice manmohan singh librehan commission has leaked on media. and two most senior leaders of bjp Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Leader of Opposition LK Advani's guilty founded in this case.
The senior BJP leader, who had given a notice to Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar demanding a debate on the Liberhan Commission, said he was surprised that the report has been "selectively leaked" to the media.
he said that, "I was shocked to see this report. This report is talking about my seniors Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This report was given to the government in June, it is November now. The Home Minister didn't table this report in the last session. Government should table the report in the House."
The other hand The ruling Congress described the “leakage” of the Liberhan Commission report in the media as “a very serious issue” and said the party was confident the government would take cognisance of it.

twin blast in asam 6 killed

Two powerful back to back explosion at least killed six people in nalbari town in assam. A security alert has been sounded in the state.
The blasts took place in a span of about 20 minutes. Nalbari is about 70 km west of Assam's main city Guwahati.
"Seven people were killed and 55 injured in the explosions," a senior police official said.
Police had earlier said there were three explosions. They later said there were just two blasts and the third explosion was that of firecrackers going off in a nearby locality.
After this powerful blast police said that A terrorist group ULFA Behind this bloodey blast. but ULFA dismissing claim. the group said that it was not responsible for twin blasts in the district, police today asserted that the banned outfit was behind the explosions.

Sri Lanka declared their first innings at 760 for seven, that gave them a lead of 334 runs. Mahela Jayawerdene (275) and Prasanna Jayawerdene (154) were involved in a record 385-run stand for the sixth wicket.

Peter who visited 'Mithra', an NGO that looks after children and youth with physical and mental disabilities, said the flow of Indian students to Australia might have come down for a number of reasons.

The MEA said India would resolve outstanding issues with Pakistan but only after terrorism from Pakistan had ceased.
"A meaningful dialogue with Pakistan can take place only in an environment free from terror or the threat of terror," the MEA said.
US ambassador Tim Roemer also tried to gloss over the statement saying it was "positive". "I think that is a very positive statement to make."

Headley met to 15 celebs of bollywood

Bollywood director Mahesh Bhatt’s son Rahul has revealed during his interrogation by the NIA that he had introduced 26/11 terror suspect David Coleman Headley to 15 other film personalities.
Karan Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Aarti Chabria and Tara Sharma were among the Bollywood personalities who met Headley through Rahul. Some film critics are also among the 15 reported to have met Headley.
Film star Emraan Hashmi is likely to be questioned by the NIA for his alleged links with the suspect. However, so far there is no information on the timing of the grilling of the 15 suspects.

India 84th in corruption perception list

Headley, Rana linked with 26/11 attackers

In fresh leads linking them with the November 26 attacks, American terror suspect David Headley and his Pakistani-Canadian associate Tahawwur Hussain Rana were being handled by same people who had given orders to Ajmal Kasab and other terrorists killed during 26/11.

Evidence is slowly getting established that Headley and Rana were part of the larger conspiracy behind the Mumbai attack. They were in touch with same people who were giving directions to (Azmal Amir) Kasab (the lone surviving terrorist in Mumbai attack) and other terrorists," a senior Home Ministry official said.

Dilshan century takes Sri Lanka to 275/3

Tillekaratne Dilshan’s tenth Test century powered Sri Lanka to 275 for three against India at the close of second day’s play in the first cricket Test here Tuesday.

Dilshan made 112 and at the close of play, Thilan Samaraweera was batting on 45 and Mahela Jayawardene on 36.

Rahul Bhatt is under scanner for links with Headley and his associate Tahawwur Hussain Rana who are in the custody of FBI for terror conspiracy against Indian targets. National Investigation Agency may also question Hashmi in this regard.

Nuclear sites on high alert

Nuclear installations across the country have been put on high alert as it has been found that David Headley, a US citizen arrested by FBI on terror charges, had visited some states having atomic facilities.
Sources in the Home Ministry said on Monday that all the state governments having nuclear plants have been asked to step up patrolling and vigil around the facilities as a precautionary measures. There are six major nuclear energy plants operational in the country- Narora in Uttar Pardesh, Kaiga in Karnataka, Tarapur in Maharashtra, Kalpakkam in Tamil Nadu, Kakrapar in Gujarat and Kota in Rajasthan, besides several other research and development centres like Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in Trombay.

car bomb blast in peshawar, 10 killed

wave of violence continewing in Pakistan's northwest. Suicide car bomb blast at a police check post on Peshawar's outskirts on Thursday. the blast at least killed 10 people, including women and children, and injuring over 25 others.
The bomber detonated his explosive-laden vehicle, packed with 50 kg of explosives, when he was flagged at the checkpoint at Pishtakhara Chowk, the main entry point to Peshawar from the troubled Khyber tribal region.
The powerful blast blew up a number of other vehicles lined up at the check post. A large number of people were present in a nearby bus stand and commercial area when the blast occurred at about 4.15 pm.
Hospital officials said 10 people, including two children, two women and two policemen, were killed and over 25 injured.

Britain has warned its nationals that they should be careful while visiting Goa Delhi and Mumbai and other metropolitan cities of india, which could be terror attack targets.

'Future attacks may target public places frequented by Westerners and expatriates, including the major metropolitan centres (Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai) and tourist areas such as Goa,' says a travel advisory on the British government's foreign commonwealth office (FCO) website, which was updated Nov 11.

President Barack Obama has named Rajiv Shah, an Indian American official at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, to head USAID, an agency charged with spurring development around the world.

"The mission of USAID is to advance America's interests by strengthening our relationships abroad," he said of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), which has more than 6,800 people working in some 80 countries worldwide.

Rajiv Shah, 36, "brings fresh ideas and the dedication and impressive background necessary to help guide USAID as it works to achieve this important goal," he said. "I look forward to working with Rajiv in the months and years ahead."

India slips back in ODI rankings

India today slipped back to third position after going down 2-4 to world champion Australia in the seven-match home series that concluded here today.

With the seventh match in Mumbai called off due to heavy rains, Australia reaffirmed their number-one status after dominant 10 weeks of one-day cricket while India lost its No.2 position.

Australia now have 130 rating points. Both South Africa and India have 122 points each but when calculated to the decimal points, South Africa went ahead to occupy the second place.
